This season is full of activities and events and go, go, go. It can so often wear you out and leave you feeling drained. So much emphasis about the holiday season is placed on your kids and making things feel magical for them, but how are YOU doing? How’s your spouse? It’s so nice to be able to take a break from things and spend a little time together without having to think of making things fun for your kids. Here is a list of local date nights you can do this month that will keep you in the Christmas spirit!
See the Lights at The Broadmoor
Walk around the lake at The Broadmoor and see all the beautiful Christmas lights (this is where my husband proposed to me! ☺️). Make sure you head inside the lobby to check out the giant gingerbread creation they make every year! Head to The Broadmoor’s website for more information, as well as a selection of restaurants to choose from, if you wish to dine on site.
Head to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Grab tickets to either the Electric Safari (free for members!) or the Electric Moonlight (21+) event. Besides being able to see a lot of active animals at night, there are tons of Christmas lights, multiple hot chocolate stations, and several restaurants open.
Ice Skate at Acacia Park
Visit the outdoor ice rink in Acacia Park to skate with your spouse! There are tons of restaurants or coffee shops in the area to stop in and warm up afterwards. Head to the Skate in the Park website to see more information and view hours.
Christmas at the Ranch
Snag tickets to Flying W Ranch’s Cowboy Christmas Jubilee. Enjoy the Ranch, decorated for Christmas, as well as a wonderful dinner and live music by the Flying W Wranglers.
