The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends that infants have a comprehensive eye exam between the ages of 6 and 12 months. After that, the AOA recommends a complete exam between the ages of 3 and 5 years and then annually, starting at age 6. The Colorado Springs Guide to Pediatric Eye Care is the resource you need to find the best provider for your child’s vision needs. Please make sure to visit the provider’s website for ages served. While some eye clinics offer care for infants and children of all ages, other clinics only see patients after the age of 5.
