Library Living: PPLD’s Colorado State Parks Passes

0

Looking for things to do with your kids this summer, but also on a budget? Look no further! The Pikes Peak Library District has you covered – AGAIN! PPLD, in collaboration with other great organizations, has made a limited number of Colorado State Parks passes available for checkout.

These state parks passes come as part of a discovery kit. The kit (backpack) is full of educational information, gear, and ideas to get you started in your exploration of our state’s beautiful state parks. You are able to have the state parks backpack checked out from your library for up to a week at a time. These are a hot commodity, though, so when you see one on PPLD’s list that’s available for checkout, RUN to your library to snag it!

You can also use your library account online to place a hold on the state parks pass. You will be notified when it is available for pickup. Simply do a search for “check out state parks: Colorado library pass” and select the “place hold” button.

With your state parks pass, you’re able to gain FREE entry into any of Colorado’s 42 state parks! Just think of all the wonderful sights your family will be able to see at no cost to you!

Our contributors love Colorado’s state parks so much that there have been several articles written about them on the Co Springs Mom Collective site! Take a look at an article by Erin, one by Ashley, and one by Brie to find lots of hiking and camping wisdom in relation to our state parks.

Are you wanting to take a look at some other things our library has to offer? Check out the rest of the Library Living series!
