Guide to Patios and Rooftops in Colorado Springs

0

Wow! What. A. Winter. As you may have read, my family is new to Colorado Springs, and many of our new friends have said that this winter was the worst in years! We have rounded up our favorite rooftops and patios in Colorado Springs because there is nothing like welcoming this warm sunshine (finally!) with a fresh cocktail or mocktail to soak up all that warm vitamin D.

Red Leg Brewing

2323 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907

What we love about it: This patio has many food options and tons of space for the kids to play (well, when it isn’t too busy!). There are even fire pits for those cozier spring and summer nights. They also have some non-alcoholic options for adults, which makes it a crowd-pleaser.

The ViewHouse

7114 Campus Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80920

What we love about it: This patio is huge, with games like corn hole and lawn Jenga to keep the kids busy. The views of Pike’s Peak are amazing, especially at sunset and the food is locally sourced and quite delicious. Be sure to check the sports line-up for the day though because they can get super packed!

Colorful Colorado at The Garden

7 E Cimarron St Colorado Springs, CO 80903

What we love about it: This brand new space, self-titled a summer pop-up, made the list for its insta-worthy backdrops. Looking for that perfect photo to take your visiting family to? THIS. IS. IT.

Lumen8 Rooftop Social

402 S Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903

What we love about it: Although this is technically a rooftop, we counted it! They have a kids menu which is a huge plus, especially since their menu is more upscale. It’s a great win-win for families wanting to have a special family date. They even have fancy drinks for the kids—I mean, who doesn’t love a Shirley Temple?!

Pikes Place Brewing / C.O.A.T.I.

514 S. Tejon St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903

What we love about it: Located above C.O.A.T.I. that has tons of food options, for us its the views! Also, who doesn’t what to enjoy a yummy Paleta (Spanish for “ice pop”) in the Colorado sunshine while admiring the views of Pikes Peak?!
